Find your mistake. Or just ask.

An AI inside your iPad notes. Write with Apple Pencil, and the answer lands on your page.

Free while we test. iPadOS 26 or later. First round: US testers 18 and older, invited by email.

Real app, recorded in the iPad simulator. The writing is scripted and sped up; the AI's answers, circles, drawings and clean-ups are its own output.

Screen recording of Palnote on an iPad, scripted writing sped up, AI output real. It shows a new note (Infinite or Pages), a table and a checklist, then math written by hand with one wrong line. The AI circles the wrong line, writes a hint beside it and explains why, then draws the fix step by step on the page. It cleans up English notes into a clean page, exports a PDF, explains and draws a short piece of code, and the Settings page where a person pastes their own AI key and Test key says it works.

Write. Ask. Get the answer.

Stay on your handwritten page. No chat window to switch to.

  1. A lined page mid handwriting: 2x + 6 = 14, then 2x = 20, and the line x = being written.

    Write

On a blank page or your homework PDF. Any subject.

  2. The AI is reading the page: the three handwritten lines sit untouched while it works.

    Ask

Tap Check my work, Draw it out or Clean up. Or type anything.

  3. The AI wrote the fix under the work in short orange steps ending in a green check: 2x + 6 = 14, take 6 off both sides, 2x = 8, split by 2, x = 4.

    Get the answer

It circles the mistake and writes the fix in short steps.

Ask it anything.|It answers where you write.

The circle lands on the line you wrote.

Not in a chat window beside it. Your work stays yours.

A real check in Palnote: the line 2x = 20 circled in orange with the hint to take 6 away from both sides in orange handwriting, the first line ticked green, the fix written under the work, and the AI chat on the right explaining that line 2 is wrong.

Four things it does on your page

The AI drew the worked solution on the page in orange ink: take 6 off both sides, 2x = 8, split both sides by 2, x = 4, with a green check.

It draws it

Steps, a picture or a worked example, right on your page.

The line 2x = 20 circled in orange with the hint in orange handwriting beside it: to undo the +6, take 6 away from both sides, not add 6.

It checks your work

It circles the first mistake and says why, next to your line.

Handwritten SQL turned into a typed code block, with the AI's three step drawing under it in orange: select the ids, keep the matching rows, then change the salary.

Handwritten code too

A loop or a query in pencil gets the same help as algebra.

English notes cleaned up into a tidy page: the title Parts of speech highlighted in yellow with the four lines of definitions under it.

It cleans up your notes

Messy handwriting becomes a clean page. Export a PDF or share it.

later test scores after plain AI answers

Answers, or learning. You pick.

Palnote gives you the answer when you ask. But in a study of about 1,000 high schoolers, plain AI answers cut later test scores 17%, and guided help mostly fixed that. Want to learn it? Ask for a hint, or tap Check.

Questions

Something else? Contact us.

Does it give me the answer?

Yes. Ask a question or tap Check on a page and you get the answer, with short steps, written right on your page. Want to work it out yourself? Ask for a hint and you get a hint instead.

Can it read my handwriting?

It shows you what it read, and asks when it isn't sure. Neat print reads best today.

Does it work on my homework PDF?

Yes. Import the PDF, write on it, and ask about any question. The answer goes on the page.

Which iPads?

Any iPad that runs iPadOS 26 or later. Apple Pencil (1st gen, 2nd gen, USB-C, Pro) works best; a finger works too. It is iPad only for now, not iPhone.

Is this cheating?

It can be. Palnote gives real answers, like any AI chat, so follow your class rules on AI help. To learn it instead: ask for a hint, ask why a step works, or turn on Just check to see only what is right and wrong.

What gets sent to the AI?

A picture of the page you're on and what you typed, only when you tap Check or ask. Nothing in the background.

How old do I need to be?

The app is for ages 13 and up. The first beta round is for adult testers, 18 and older, in the US.

Does it do coding?

Yes. Python and LeetCode style problems, handwritten.

What happens after the beta?

Free gets 25 AI credits a week, and your notes never lock. Pro is $59.99 a year or $9.99 a month. A lifetime option is planned; its price comes before launch.
